Patience of a saint.

I love this phrase, because it puts patience on the side of the angels. And so it should. As patience is our unbidden friend and waits with us for the appearance of something yet hidden. It’s character is one of quite certainty and calm expectation.

It sits with us as we wait, and if we bend to listen often speaks to us. To reveal things we never dared dream or hoped for. Thus in the waiting, it

becomes our teacher.

But here’s the thing, we can also loose it. A bit like you can lose your socks. And if we are not careful, we can miss the lesson it had prepared for us. And become pretty un-saint like in the process.

So, let’s keep on the side of the angels and not lose patience in doing good.
